Conventional lyophilizers are referred to as static because the product to be lyophilized is placed in vials, flasks, trays, or other containers that do not move during the lyophilization cycle.
Temperature decrease/increase is regulated by the refrigeration system, which cools/heats the thermofluid (silicone oil type) circulating in the shelves where the samples are placed.
The dynamic lyophilization technology developed by LYOPHITECH decouples the freezing and sublimation steps in an oscillating drum, resulting in a high-quality product in the form of beads (1 to 5 mm).

Dynamic Lyophilizer
OPE represents LYOPHITECH in Belgium.
Their patented technology is particularly suitable for oxygen-sensitive products and living products (Probiotics, LBPs…), as it combines flash freezing in liquid nitrogen, which prevents the generation of large crystals, with gentle lyophilization controlled by pressure.
The beads formed also exhibit microporosity, which greatly facilitates re-dissolution.
