- Are Visco dampers useful ?
- Shall they be replaced ?
- How can we know if they are still OK ?
- Shall we go through batch centrifuges manufacturer ?
Visco dampers are fundamental to run your batch centrifuge properly. A suspension that breaks can cause highly serious damages.
Shock absorbers are extremely important and often overlooked. They are especially important when a machine is subjected to waves or unbalanced loads at very low speed.
For batch centrifuges put on an inertia slab (concrete or metallic), usually with 4 visco dampers under the slab (also called vibration dampers, spring units...), change your dampers preferably every 10 years or as soon as one of them collapsed or if the visco damping fluid (kind of viscous resin) is flowing.
We are working with the same suppliers than the batch centrifuges manufacturers.
On some models, sticky flows are noticeable. On other models, everything is internal. Sometimes this is also why it should be changed as a precaution
No, OPE is working with the same suppliers than the batch centrifuges manufacturers. We know how to find the right model.
